Historic Nuggets from Music History:

From Billy Vera:
The Blue Legune was next door to another legendary Music Club - Hop Singhs.
We played the Blue Legune one weekend a month for years.
The club was infamous for the floor, which moved up and down depending on the rhythm of whatever song we played.
It was on the second floor. I would sneak next door to Hop Singh's to hear the jazz artists on my break.
Later, we worked next door when the Blue Lagune went out of business. It was the first time Hop Singh's made any serious money.
As a favor to the Blue Lagune's owner, when our record was high on the charts, we went back and played for him. He had to throw the customers out after the first show and let a whole new crowd in for the second show.
